How do I purchase tickets and make reservations ?You can purchase tickets over the internet or by phone using a major credit card. Also, you can send a check or money order made payable to the Caribbean Cultural Center. Though reservations are not required for admission to the park or its facilities, you are encouraged at the beginning of your stay to make reservations early for dinner at Blue Beard Galley. The food is excellent, the setting exquisite, and the help down right entertaining. Back to TopHow much is admission and what does it include ?Admission to Caribbean Cultural Center includes access to the twelve delightful island villages, the fantastic Aquarium of the Caribbean, all the many fine educational showcases at Island Exhibit Hall, the entertaining Imax films at the Paradise Theater, the outrageous Hurricane Bay, and the lavish Ports of Call Marketplace. All are invited to the Ocean Activities Center which is open to the general public and affords visitors an excellent opportunity to mingle with the locals. Inside the park you will find a wide variety of restaurants which are as entertaining as many of the shows. Finally, the dinner show at the Grand Caribbean Auditorium is included in the deluxe passport.
Back to TopHow do you suggest I spend my stay to take advantage of seeing everything?Begin with advance planning. Browse through the entire web site and see all that the Caribbean Cultural Center offers. Then, reflect on your personal interests, e.g., are you inclined to relax and learn or are you involved with thrill seeking. Next, choose the activities and venues that match your desires and determine the amount of time you wish to spend on each event. After you have prepared, follow the plan but be flexible. We suggest you sample a little of everything so that you involve both the cerebral and the sensual side of your human nature. Mingle with other guests and listen to what they have to say and you will gain a wealth of information. Take advantage of the tours that we offer to learn the behind the scenes activities. And finally, you can always leave something for your next visit because we are sure you will enjoy it so much here that you will come back for more. Back to TopWhen is it the best time to go?All year round we have various events and wonderful seasonal activities. Of course, from late fall to early spring is a popular time to visit because the weather is so nice. In summer, you will find the crowds are slightly less and the rates for accommodations and airfares sometimes discounted. Back to TopWhat is the weather like and the temperature of the water?Between November and May is a delightful time of year to come. The average temperature is from 75º to 79º. The average high temperature falls between 86º and 88º and the average low drops between 65º and 70º. Over the summer, you can expect some showers and humidity which makes the water activities and tropical drinks all that much more refreshing. Want more specific data or the most up-to-date information, click weather. How is the food?Three good words definitely describe the choices of foods, variety, variety, and more variety. The Caribbean is a melting pot of different local and international cuisines. Not only does the center have guests from almost every country in the world visiting here, but also the historical immigration has influenced the flavor of past dishes. The Spanish, Cuban, British, African, Jamaican, Dutch, French, Indian, Irish, etc. have played a very important role in Caribbean food. We are sure you'll find many things to your liking and encounter new dishes you will thoroughly enjoy. Bon appetite. Click food or restaurants for more information. Back to TopWhat else is there to see locally ?The Ponce Art Museum has a wonderful exhibit of European and Latin Art. The Castillo Seralles on the hill overlooking Ponce is the magnificent home of the local rum distillery owner. The Tibes Indian Ceremonial Center is on an Amerindian village site with real artifacts. The Parque de Bombas displays an antique fire engine and other equipment in a red and black striped fire station. This popular spot was restored as an eye catcher for sure. Further out of town, the beautiful El Yunque tropical rainforest encompasses lush vegetation, friendly feathered bird, and other wild animals. Operated by the National Park service, it is home to the endanger Puerto Rican parrot and the coqui, a tree frog that you will see all over the island. Old San Juan and its beautiful Cathedral and the Castillo de San Felipe del Morro make for a wonderful day outing back in history. Lastly, the Cuevas de Camuy, a complex maze of caverns has impressive stalactites and stalagmites. Oh, how could we forget the Arecibo Observatory with its 20 acre dish which first discovered the quasars. Something tells us we are leaving a lot of hot destinations out (like the spectacular beaches) so you better come and see for yourselves. Why can't I hear the sound or see the movie?A host of factors could possibly prevent you from seeing the movie or hearing the music. It may be as simple as not having the volume turned up or not following the instructions. On the other extreme, you may be missing the required software or hardware. One simple and quick question is have you ever been able to hear music before while using your computer. If not, you may not have the right equipment such as a sound card, speakers, etc. If such is the case, it may be the time to upgrade and to ask your local computer store for help. If you have listened to music or seen video on your computer before, then may we suggest you go to our help section titled browsers and plug ins. Back to TopHow do I navigate around the web site ?The navigation buttons at the top of a page direct you to other pages on the same level. These pages should be closely related to the page you are currently viewing. The navigation buttons along the left side of the page includes a link A.) to the home page, B.) to the next higher level topic C.) to the pages directly below the topic at hand and D.) to the help section.
