The Caribbean envelops cultural information that is sure to entertain and to enlighten.  What kind of information?  Not only are the customary cultural, historical, and artistic factors addressed, but also the sure fire hot button issues of money, god, and politics.  For the Caribbean islands are like any other society. Their culture too is rich with mixed ethnicity, differing historical backgrounds, varying customs, and an extensive host of other elements (e.g., rich verses poor) set in a tropical island environment.  That in itself creates some interesting material to dwell upon at length.

Remember, many thought Christopher Columbus was going to sail off the edge of the world which was back then considered to be flat. We seek to humble humankind by the awesome power of nature (e.g. torrential hurricanes and beautiful tropical rain forests). We must also feel the failures and learn from past mistakes so that history does not repeat itself with regard to humanities' mistreatment of others (e.g. colonial imperialism and slavery).  Our goal at Islands' Exhibits Hall is to raise the human spirit to a much higher level of mutual respect and understanding for differing cultures and to a much greater consciousness of the delicate ecosystem for which we are caretakers, not owners.
